Tuchel: Emre Mor must be patient
Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel have great faith in Emre Mor, although it has not become as much playing time in the recent past – the 19-year-old Turkish player must be patient, says Tuchel.
Emre Mor got a really good start to his life in Germany when arrived from the danish team FC Nordsjælland. The young offensive player scored in his Bundesliga debut.
Since then, however, it has been a little up and down. Mor has in total appeared in 14 matches since the summer – no later than February 11, where he provided an assist in the defeat to Darmstadt. In the last three Bundesliga matches he has been completely out of the squad.
But that does not change that the Dortmund side believe in Emre Mor.
“He’s an incredible talent. It’s not going to change our mind about that. But he came to us after just a half season of professional football in Denmark”, said Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel according to FourFourTwo.
“It’s a huge transition for him. Of course there are ups and downs in his performance. He must learn to be a professional footballer. He must be patient”, says Tuchel.
“Mor can be a special player. He works diligently, and we give him all the support we can”, says Tuchel.
Emre Mor changed from FC Nordsjælland to Dortmund in the summer – and the 19-year-old offensive player signed a contract that keeps him at the German club until the summer of 2021.
